It's time for Nordic Fabric Fair once again, an inspiring and rewarding event that showcases textiles, trimmings and accessories.

We warmly welcome you as a fashion designer or other industry professional to Nordic Fabric Fair on 9-10 December! We invite you to explore and purchase new and innovative textile products for the upcoming SS27 season, as well as permanent collections. You will also have the opportunity to network and attend our industry mingle events.

Release of the Swedish Fashion Report 2025

The Swedish Fashion report is an annual report produced in a collaboration between Stockholm Fashion District, Svensk Handel, and Swedish Fashion Council and we welcome you to the release of the 2025 year edition! Come and listen to our CEO Helena Waker that, together with representatives from Svensk Handel and Swedish Fashion Council, will share the most important insigts. 


The Swedish Fashion Report 2025 highlights the economic significance of the fashion trade, changing purchasing patterns, and the growing e-commerce sector. It also addresses issues of global competition, sustainability, and innovation, all of which are key factors in strengthening the industry’s competitiveness in a time of rapid transformation.

Seminar: Design Expressions as Brand Carriers

Tuesday, 9 December, 12:30-13.00
Location: In the fair hall, Augustendalstorget 6, Nacka Strand, Stockholm

What truly shapes a design expression, and how can a brand be identified through its design? Louise Klarsten explores how storytelling goes far beyond a moodboard and how the creative process can be preserved, even with today’s tools, including AI, by balancing design identity with incoming data and sales analysis. She also highlights how colour is often one of the strongest drivers behind commercial success.

Louise Klarsten, who runs ColourHouse Scandinavia and is a long-time partner to international trend agencies and Pantone, will share an industry update and present concepts for SS2027, from macro trends to colour, form, influences, brand direction, and designer insights.Meet Louise Klarsten and Anna-Lena Thilander from ColourHouse in stand 24 in the fair hall, where they welcome all visitors to explore SS27 and AW27–28.

Talk: TEAM MAGGAN

Tuesday, 9 December at 16.30-17.00
Location: In the fair hall, Augustendalstorget 6, Nacka Strand, Stockholm

Catarina will present her book of personal portraits "TEAM MAGGAN” foremost about H&M’s first Head of Design Margareta, the main character, but also about around 40 team members, former colleagues as well as external collaborators who Margareta has met and worked with and who have contributed creatively to H&M’s success and growth over the years. Catarina will interview Margareta about her journey in the fashion world and welcome the audience to the conversation with their questions and comments.


About Margareta van den Bosch
Margareta van den Bosch is a fashion designer with many years’ experience at Italian fashion houses and at H&M Group, and an internationally acclaimed fashion personality. She was H&M’s first head of design and then worked part time as a creative advisor until retirement (at the age of 80 years). She is a board member at Beckman’s College of Design where she previously was a student and design teacher. Margareta has been honoured with several design awards; Damernas Värld’s Guldknappen 2001, The Elle honorary award 2009 and The Swedish Government’s award Illis Quorum of the 8th grade.


About Catarina Midby
Catarina Midby is a fashion- and sustainability expert. Her career started as a fashion editor at magazines ELLE and Damernas Värld, and then she worked in fashion communication, trends and sustainability at H&M, and lately as head of sustainability at ASOS. She was secretary general for the platform for the Swedish fashion industry; Association of Swedish Fashion Brands, and was also responsible for Stockholm Fashion Week and the sustainability conference Fashion Future, and now works as a freelance writer, mentor and advisor.

Find your way here:
Stockholm Fashion District is located in Nacka strand, Stockholm.

By car: Follow Stadsgårdsleden from Slussen in central Stockholm towards Värmdöleden (road 222). Take the Nacka strand exit and follow the signs towards the "Fashion District". Travel time approx. 8 min.

Parking: There are over 2000 parking spots in the Stockholm Fashion District distributed over 3 parking buildings and outdoors. Follow the directions after you pass the tunnel to Nacka strand.

By boat: SjöVägen's boats depart from Nybrokajen with an estimated journey time of 25 minutes and SL cards are valid. Boat timetable.

By public transport: Bus 443 departs from Slussen to Nacka strand with an estimated travel time of 10 minutes. From Handenterminalen in Haninge, you take bus 840. From Fisksätra you take bus 465. Bus 71 departs from Slussen (Glasbruksgatan) via Sickla to Nacka strand. Timetable for public transport, sl.se

By Taxi: Stockholm Fashion District recommends Taxi Stockholm (08-15 00 00), Taxi 020 (020-20 20 20), or Taxi Kurir (08-30 00 00).

Seaside walk/bike ride from Sickla or Södermalm: You now have the fantastic opportunity to get to us via a walk or bike ride along the water. There is a 400-meter-long pedestrian connection between Nacka Strand and Svindervik's manor where you can then walk further to the south or up towards Sickla.

Nordic Fabric Fair is a Scandinavian textile fair that brings together international factories, producers, and weavers represented by Swedish agents. For many designers, this fair marks the beginning of the new season,just as much as the sketch table does. Within the fair, there is a wealth ofknowledge about textile materials and accessories among the participatingexperts. The new collections are presented in a readily accessible manner.
